Welcome — all are welcome

A love letter to Black women — open to everyone.

Founded in 2019 by Charlie Billingsley, the Museum for Black Girls is a self-driven, immersive pop-up turned permanent home. We center the joy, beauty, and history of Black women — and we welcome every visitor, of every background, age, and identity, to come celebrate with us. Lounge in front of our large pink museum wall, walk the heritage timeline, get lost in the floral room, and leave with a thousand photos and a fuller heart.

The Floral Room

Ten thousand pink and tangerine blooms cascade across every surface, framing rotating portraits of Black women in bloom. Our most-photographed room.
